Atlanta Hotel
Bangkok's oldest hotel pool, lapping an original 1952 Art Deco lobby
About the Property
A defiant survivor on Bangkok's ever-changing Sukhumvit Road, the Atlanta has operated continuously since 1952 under its famously outspoken founder Dr. Charles Henn and now his successor Max Henn. Its original Art Deco lobby, complete with Streamline Moderne curves, a vintage writing room, and the oldest hotel swimming pool in Bangkok, remains completely unaltered. The Atlanta proudly refuses to modernize, banning sex tourism and maintaining its role as a cultural and literary gathering place.
