About the Property

Set amidst the tea plantations that British surveyor William Cameron first mapped in 1885, the Cameron Highlands Resort channels the atmosphere of a 1930s colonial hill station. The original Tudor-style buildings were part of the British administrators' retreat from the lowland heat — a tradition of "going to the hills" borrowed from the Indian Raj. Restored by YTL Hotels, the property features original fireplaces, timber beams, and a Jim Thompson-themed tea salon honoring the American silk king who vanished in these highlands in 1967.
